While wako itself is a powerful media organization and tracking app, it doesn't include content sources by default. Add-ons bridge this gap by connecting wako to different content providers.

How do add-ons work?

Add-ons work by connecting to various online content providers and integrating these sources directly into wako's interface. When you search for a movie or TV show, the installed add-ons will fetch available streaming options from their respective sources.

wako serves as the platform and player, while the add-ons handle all the content discovery and provide streaming links. This separation allows wako to focus on providing an excellent user experience while giving you the freedom to choose which content sources you want to use.

How to install add-ons

1. Open the wako app on your device
2. Navigate to the Settings menu
3. Select "Add-ons"
4. Choose "Install an add-on"
5. Enter the URL of the add-on you want to install

For Stremio add-ons, you'll need to use their specific installation URLs. Most Stremio add-ons provide an installation button that will directly open wako to install the add-on when clicked on a mobile device. Alternatively, you can manually install Stremio add-ons through wako's add-on manager using their manifest URL.
