Add-ons are third-party extensions that add catalogs, subtitles, metadata and other features to wako.
What are add-ons?
Add-ons work like browser extensions: they add new capabilities without changing the app itself. wako provides the platform and the interface; add-ons extend it.
How to install an add-on
Add-ons are managed entirely within the app. You can enable, disable, or remove them at any time from Settings.
- Open wako on your device
- Go to Settings > Addons
- Select "Install from URL"
- Enter the URL of the add-on you want to install
Build an add-on
wako add-ons are simple HTTP services that return JSON. Anyone can build one — there is no SDK to install and no framework to learn.
Add-ons are made by third parties
wako ships with no content add-ons installed, and does not host, provide or recommend any content or add-on. Add-ons are developed and operated by third parties — not by wako — and wako functions only as a client for the add-ons you choose to install. Because add-ons are built by third parties, wako cannot provide support for them. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of any add-on or service you connect complies with applicable laws and with its terms of service.
