Set Up Multi-Profile Tracking for the Whole Family

Tracking what your family watches gets messy fast. Your partner's reality shows end up in your Up Next, your kids' cartoons clog the home screen, and nobody actually knows whose history is whose. The fix is the same one Netflix figured out a decade ago: give every family member their own profile.

Why one shared account doesn't work

When a household shares a single tracking account, three things break:

• Watch history gets contaminated. You finish a movie your partner started but never watched, and now it's marked as seen for both of you.
• Up Next becomes useless. A list mixing your sci-fi binge, their cooking show, and kids' cartoons has no signal left.
• Kids see things they shouldn't. Trending sections show what's popular, not what's age-appropriate.

How to set up profiles for your family

Parental controls in practice

Parental controls in wako filter what the profile can discover, search, and view. Set the age rating once, and:

• Trending and popular sections only surface content within the rating.
• Search results hide titles above the threshold.
• Where-to-watch links still appear so kids find their show on the right streaming app — without being exposed to adult catalog items.

Note that wako filters its own surface area; the streaming services themselves still need their own kid-safe profile for actual playback control.
